230 lb spro pwr swivel
I havent yet tested it but spro swivels & swivel snaps are all I use. They always exceed their lb test ratings which I do check with a digital scale & a spring scale before rigging up with them. I REALLY like their ball bearing swivels for the heavy stuff & I discovered their gold chrome bucktail jigs (1/2, 3/4 oz) as recently as 2 yrs ago which are in my opinion the most productive jig Ive EVER used for rock cod & lingcod. I will say the above sizes mentioned are a lighter gauge hook so I ordered 1 oz & 2 oz for my next trial (big lings) after a conversation with a very helpful expert on the Spro staff who broke down which hks go in which jig sizes. When using this jig I put the hook right between the eyes of a squid head (head & tentacles only) this adds lots of movement, eyes, scent & bulk which I believe weeds out the smaller fish (when you are dropping down 240 ft). I want to try the larger sizes (up to 8 oz). They hold up too to multiple hits from big fish - well tied...
